Music and events have always been a way to connect people. This week we see how the industry gives back during natural disasters, remembers those who lost their lives and served on September 11th, and celebrates America’s favorite game.

Separately, Morgan Wallen partnered with The Community Foundation to announce an acoustic performance to aid flood victims.  

New LN BuyLive Nation is set to buy OCESA for the tune of $444 Million. This deal will give Live Nation 51% of the Mexican event production company and oversight of 3,100 new events. 

Abroad: Super Spreader to Lifting Protocol Poor ventilation led to a “super spreader” in Germany. While one country is working to improve COVID protocol, Sweden announces the lift in COVID safety protocols, Denmark hosted 50,000 people - the largest concert in the EU to date, and Portugal announces an 18,000 attendee event (paywall).

Inside the venue, strict COVID protocols were enforced, forcing Lorde to drop out of the show. Her intimate routine did not comply with the protocols and she cited an inability to, “make something less than outstanding.”.
