New Shows AnnouncedPlanet Pride Festival is making its debut as a three-stage, one-day festival both in-person and streamed through the metaverse this July.George Strait will be performing at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City for the first time since the early 2000s.C3, in partnership with TRIADIC, announces FORMAT, an immersive music experience highlighting visual and performing arts. The festival is looking at a capacity of approximately 10,000 - 15,000 people with on-site camping.  

In honor of earth day, we look at the industry's initiatives for a greener live event experience.

  • Live It has announced that a tree will be planted per ticket purchased.

  • ‘Circular Camping’ has been introduced to the event scene by Download Festival. A program that upcycles camping gear and rents it to festival-goers. In addition, a partnership has been established with Trees for Cities to counteract guests’ travel to the event. 

  • Artists such as Bon Iver and Olivia Rodrigo are focusing on sustainable merch, consciously sourcing clothing and reducing carbon emissions.
