Today is the last issue of year two of Back of House. Next week we’re kicking off year 3 with an exciting BOH giveaway. Slight hint it may involve a Pelican.

No More Hidden FeesA bill approved by the New York state senate requires ticket sellers to reveal ticket price plus fees when advertised. The law will no longer allow sellers to disclose fees at the final stages of the checkout process in small discrete text.

Venue Funding Venues are still struggling to reach 100% operational status. With staffing shortages and last-minute cancellations, venues are slowly recovering from the impact of the pandemic. In addition, government-backed funding will need to be used by June 30th.  

Post-Festival SymptomsA study conducted by Yale shows that music festivals impact and increase fans' generosity towards one another. According to the experiment, these impacts can last for nearly six months. Another excuse to attend more festivals!

Pollen Layoffs Recently highlighted for raising $150 Million in funding in April, the curated experience company Pollen, has made almost 150 roles redundant.  

Concert Food DeliveryDoorDash is now the official delivery partner of ASM Global. Fans will now set their pickup location to select venues and skip the line for top-notch service.

Irelands First Green FestivalDoolin Folk Festival will be Ireland's first carbon-neutral festival hosted in an eco-friendly venue, the Barn of Hotel Doolin. Festival efforts will include compostable materials, renewable energy, and nearly 500 trees planted post-event.  

Record-Breaking YearInternational festivals are proving to have record-breaking years and a strong return. Rock am Ring has sold out, selling 90,000 festival tickets to their event this past weekend.
