As the year is winding down and “best of 2022” lists are starting to fill our inboxes and newsfeeds, Swiftes are rejoicing at a second chance to unwrap tickets. We’re not quite done yet at BOH, we’ve got one more issue for you next week before we take a much-needed EOY break.

Until then, have a very Happy Hanukkah, Festivus, Christmas, Kwanzaa, and anything else you are celebrating. Cheers!

Swifties Get Another ChanceTicketmaster is offering Taylor Swift fans who received a boost during the Verified Fan presale but didn’t purchase tickets the opportunity to purchase tickets via Ticketstoday, a subsidiary of TM. The roughly 170,000 remaining tickets for the Eras tour will be processed away from the public by emailing those eligible fans directly over a period of time. The process is supposed to be completed before 12/23.

Doune (but not out of) the Rabbit Hole

Stirling UK’s Doune the Rabbit Hole Festival will continue in 2023, despite the organizing company, Doune the Rabbit Hole 2022, entering liquidation following significant losses tied to the pandemic, increased costs, and rising cost of living. The organizers for the upcoming 2023 event (Festival Beverage and Property Services Ltd) aren’t exactly new though - they also ran the event in 2018 and 2019 and have pledged “to try to repay artists, crew and suppliers from the event in 2022 as soon as possible.”

ISP Altice USA sued by Music CompaniesBMG, Concord, and Universal Music Group (UMG) filed a +$1 billion copyright infringement lawsuit against internet service provider Altice USA. The suit claims that Altice was aware that its subscribers were using its internet services to “illegally distribute or reproduce copyrighted works, including music, without authorization.” Rather than cutting the offenders off, it allowed them to continue using the platform, valuing “corporate profits over its responsibilities.”

Festival Phone Theft on the RiseHave you ever lost your phone at a festival? Lost and Found booths are typically full of recovered phones, but if you weren’t able to find it there, it may have been stolen. Festival of the Year?Online publication Consequence has named Danny Wimmer Presents’ Louder than Life its 2022 Festival of the Year. The 4-day rock fest set attendance records (170,000 guests) and its lineup, stages, and experiences rivaled those of European festivals that until now had been unmatched in the US.
