atVenu secures a $130M investment 💵

Sixth Street Growth has invested $130 million in atVenu, a live event point-of-sale platform. atVenu started in 2012 as a music merchandise sales platform and is now used at 125,000 events of all shapes and sizes annually. The company plans to use the investment to reach new live event markets including sports and as well as grow its food and beverage options.

Victory Live acquires Logitix

Victory Live, an end-to-end platform for the ticketing industry, has acquired Logitix, a ticket inventory management platform. Logitix was formerly owned by private equity firm ZMC. With the acquisition, Victory Live will “accelerate growth and drive value for live events rights holders, professional ticket resellers and affiliate partners.”

Ticketing company AXS has partnered with rideshare company Lyft to offer event attendees a more seamless experience from ticket purchase through event arrival. Through the partnership, Lyft will be integrated into the AXS app and will offer fans the ability to reserve rides to their events at a discount. Additionally, AXS events will be promoted across Lyft’s app, enabling them to reach new audiences.

Ticketmaster has become the first ticketing app to integrate with Apple Wallet. If you’re scratching your head on that statement because you’ve definitely put other ticketing company’s tickets into your Apple Wallet, you’re not alone. But this is the new Apple Wallet, so it’s different. Here’s how: with iOS 18, users can add their ticket to the wallet, then they can interact with that ticket and do things like see venue information, weather details, find a friend, and even buy merch. LAFC is the first to pioneer this new tech and Miami Heat will follow next.

AXS has expanded its global footprint, adding Germany to the list of countries it operates in. The ticketing company will now handle premium suite ticketing for AEG’s Uber Arena in Berlin and Barclays Arena in Hamburg. AXS is owned by AEG.

UK-based charity Music Support reports that mental health issues in the industry are up from last year, however the number of people in the industry seeking help has also risen year-over-year, a positive shift in breaking down stigmas around mental health. Organizations such as Music Minds Matter are expanding their support networks and developing resources to help manage stress and mental health concerns.

Live Nation Australia is under scrutiny following a TV investigation piece that criticizes the company’s market dominance, artist exploitation, and high ticket prices. The show, NBC’s Four Corners, argues that Live Nation marginalizes local talent and has negatively impacted the Australian music scene. In response, Live Nation dismissed the program as "inaccurate and unbalanced," emphasizing that it operates only a small portion of Australia's venues and remains one of many promoters in a highly competitive market.

Kendrick Lamar and Rihanna - 2025 and 2023 Super Bowl Halftime headliners - have both reportedly turned down offers to headline next year’s Coachella. The iconic fest faces pressure to secure big name artists that attendees can’t see anywhere else, but securing them has become quite challenging. Artists of Coachella-headlining caliber can often make more on their own or don’t feel they need the clout associated with the Coachella brand.

Did you know? In 1999, the festival’s inaugural year, Rage Against the Machine returned the money they were paid to play to help the festival with its debit.

Taylor Swift is returning to North America next month for the next leg of “The Eras Tour” and this time, Ticketmaster is restricting ticket transfers to 72 hours before each show. Previously transfers could happen at any time. While Ticketmaster hasn’t officially said why the policy change was made, it follows a recent spurt of tickets mysteriously disappearing from ticket-holders accounts.
